Volunteering for Off The Fence
VOLUNTEERING AT OFF THE FENCE

Whatever your age, ability or experience, being a volunteer can enrich your life as well as the lives of many disadvantaged people in our city. Our volunteers form a major part of our outreach. Whether you are helping to raise funds or directly supporting those we meet on the streets, your role is vital. Without our volunteers we simply could not run.

Off The Fence has around 50 regular volunteers. Their contribution is invaluable. Clients and staff all enjoy the work that they do and they in turn have the satisfaction of knowing that they are doing something worthwhile.

The charity is an excellent place to volunteer and there are many opportunities for you to make a difference: • Preparing teas, coffees and sandwiches for Antifreeze • Maintenance on our Safe House • Gardening • Supporting our administrative staff • Assisting Safe House staff with recreational activities for clients • Distributing and collecting charity boxes in the community • Helping at fundraising events • Cleaning • Stuffing envelopes with newsletters and the Impact Report • Driving the Antifreeze teams into Brighton and Hove

We are very thankful for the many volunteers who enable us to reach out to the disadvantaged in Brighton and Hove. If you would like to volunteer with us then please call the office on 01272 423000 or office@offthefence.org.uk.
